We had fried dumplings made of pork and carrot and pork and cabbage. They were delicious. It was nice to watch them being made in the kitchen. The service was good and the graffiti on the walls from previous customers a nice touch. The total bill for a dozen Dumplings and water was a 102 yuan. Well worth a visit... More

The female staff with sky colored shirts doesn't like Asian people, even though she is also Chinese. She was really kind and nice to white people but she turned her face when she treated us. She got rid of smile, and stared us in rude way with no words when we asked about the menu. We are so surprised when... More

Don't let the interior fool you (it is a true hole in the wall), this place has wonderful food. The dumplings were great and the sweet and sour chicken and pork were yummy.

Great dumplings, great service, love it! I prefer the traditional boiled dumplings over the fried ones, but give them all a go. There are so many different fillings to choose from. Great spot!

A cheap and very good place to eat dumplings, it doesnt look to impressive from the outside, but service was ok and good food, we had both set dumpling menus and some other dishes.

It's a good thing that a pedicab driver approached us at the subway station (it's often impossible to hail a cab on the street in Beijing especially for short distance ). For 50 cny he took us on his motorized "rickshaw" to the highly acclaimed (per several sources) Mr. Shi's Dumpling restaurant near the Drum Tower. We would never have... More

I'm writing this from a vegetarian's perspective. They offer many options for vegetarians (this is hard to find for traditional dumplings in Beijing), and you can chose 6 or 12 pieces as well as boiled or fried. Both were tasty and not too oily. I did order a side dish of potatoes that appeared vegetarian, but had meat in it...... More

I walked past here and saw someone I knew inside eating a plateful of what looked like the tastiest fried dumplings ... needless to say I had to go and see for myself later that day ... with a truly extensive menu of various meat, seafood and vege handmade dumplings at a cheap price and a choice of steamed or... Very good food, but much more expensive than other dumpling place in Beijing. At least they have English menu (most cheap places don't)
