We were scammed to come here for a tea tasting ceremony. Result: big money spent. I'm doing my best to represent our experience here and prevent my fellow travelers from experiencing the same scam. Beware!! Avoid!!

The restaurant was quite far from city centre and we would not have gone to it had it not been highly recommended by one of our local acquaintances. The food was beautifully laid out and every dish exceeded our expectations. Impressive hall decor as well. We highly recommend this to anyone who isn't put off by the location.

This place isn't easy to find despite the fact that we live within walking distance. It's tucked away behind an art area and set in pretty substantial grounds. However we called them and they sent a driver to pick us up! We were there to attend a gala dinner hosted Ken Hom and Bookworm. As we entered the grounds we... More

Incredible from the outside, but so empty it's just horrifyingly unsettling. Food is just about edible but awfully pretentious and the combinations just don't go.

Impressive building and garden , wonderful designer atmosphere, excellent food and superior service. A wonderful place for going out, relaxing and enjoying this unforgetable atmosphere. The only negative point I found is that the location is a little bit hidden and far away from the center of BeiJing.

This restaurant is incredible! From beautiful location with great art and fabulous gardens to superb food - it's a wonder this hasn't received a Michelin Star! We dined here during a visit to Beijing and could not have been more satisfied. The food is simultaneously inventive and comforting. From the Asian pear with goat cheese, walnuts and mustard to the... More

Restaurant is beautiful, located in a green area has an incredible garden. Modern ambiance with clear spaces make this restaurant very unique! Bur I did not enjoyed the food that much. It is good but not exceptional. The desert was really disappointing- all the ice cream flavours had a mixture of the green tea and other ingredients and the taste... More

There are total two locations in Beijing for Green T House. One is in town and the other one is much more further outside of Beijing, and you will need a car if you want to go there. It used to be a very modern and highend T. House but I think lately, it has becoming more and more of... More

Description
Authentically Chinese but in a way you never imagined. JinR is the artistic genius behind the brand, a true Beijinger, she created GREEN T. HOUSE in her vision of Chinese Contemporary T. Culture in 1997 and it has grown now to a multi-faceted lifestyle offering on the move internationally. A designer in her own right JinR is constantly commissioned for guest appearances and projects around the world. T. Cuisine and Tea were the beginnings. JinR basically was the orginator of "Modern Chinese" dining. Proud of her heritage she took Chinese cuisine to a new level with her recreations of traditional dishes and stunning presentations, still being our central experience, as she calls it "T.Spirit". Art and Retail grew in parallel as many of her friends were part of the modern local art boom and she herself designed her own unique lifestyle and homeware products for her space availabe as her own line. Leading artists continue to be exhibited in her space today and JinR's designer range is available online "GREEN T. HOUSE Living" space, a 15,000sqm complex of dining, tea, events, gardens, concerts, art and culture is a Contemporary Chinese architectural marvel. The space is one of a kind.
