Beautiful fresh food, the waffles were made to order and were really tasty. We also ordered our omelettes. All the buffet food is topped up regularly and freshly cooked. Fantastic variety.

Visited with business guests. Almost could not find a seat for dinner. The buffet is varied - from roast beef to spicy fish soup. Staff are very friendly and kind.

Being a big fan of Mandarin Oriental Hotels and their afternoon tea, this was high on my list during my visit to Hong Kong. I loved the selection of cakes and sandwiches and there was a good balance of flavours Even though I was alone I ordered the tea for 2 as they offer a different selection for 1 and... More

Famous venue for afternoon tea with comfortable seating but there are simply too many people for make it a comfortable experience. I have better choices paying this price unless I have to be in this location. This compares with the Peninsula lobby but both I do not really like, unless you want to 'see and be seen'.

My friend researched high teas and picked this one primarily because of the rose petal jam. And we were not disappointed. There was an excellent assortment of teas. The sandwiches were very nice and the scones were unbelievable!! The jam was as good as expected! We liked the desserts but they were our least favorite item. It was approx. $75... More

We have no quibble with the breakfast choice which is an excellent array of food both Asian and Western and the service is good even though the lounge is very busy. But it is not as relaxing as it could be due to the layout of the lounge. It is a difficult shape with narrow seating area, which means that... More

In a prefect hotel, best in HK, how can anything be wrong? Relaxing you decide as a guest the path you want to enjoin your brunch in. No pressure from staff, they are just there to ensure u enjoy your life. In a perfect world will food excel, of course not. Is there any compromise, of course not. All is... More

The Clipper Lounge has long been one of my favorite spot for afternoon tea. It had been packed the past few years, at the moment still busy but back to its old comfort. We were seated by the balcony and had set tea with revamp over the past few months, more savory were added, and cheesecake goes back to the... More

Whether it's Sunday champagne brunch in Hong Kong or a 5-star dinner buffet with the family, the Clipper Lounge is where the city's social elite come to meet.

While popular for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, as well as our Sunday champagne brunch Hong Kong locals love, the Clipper Lounge is best known for afternoon tea. Elegantly presented on silver stands, the spread includes delicacies such as finger sandwiches, sweets, scones and our signature rose-petal jam. We also offer extremely popular seasonal themed teas, taking inspiration from the worlds of fashion, art and culture.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
