When I'm in need of a quick inexpensive indian cuisine fix- I come to Aladins. The venue isn't much to look at, but it is clean and hygienic. The staff are lovely, and the food is great. The set dinners are great value, and I highly recommend the Butter chicken! Cheap and cheerful eats!

When We go to alot of Non Muslim Country we usually have to find Indian food for Halal Food! And this is one of them, we can find in HK! It was located on the upper floor, So you have yo use the stairs, A little bit tiring, But Its worth the taste! The taste was awesome! I love it... More

This is a very basic restaurant, but with outstanding Indian food. We had dinner for four people for $HK 500. No alcohol served, but the mango lassi is outstanding. I had the chicken Jar-frezi and I would happily go back and have it again - super - spicy but not overpowering - just right. One of our group enjoyed it... More

The place was easy to locate; opp Times Square. Was promptly seated upon arrival for dinner at 8pm. The place was full of patrons. Ordered their Garlic naan, chicken makhani and lamb sheesh kebab and iced milk tea. Garlic naan was chewy yet soft. Chicken makhani was alright and lamb sheesh kebab was flavourful.

We went to Aladin Mess after 6pm when it had just opened for dinner. Upon arrival, there were already many people seated having their dinner. The place is quite popular among the locals. From the menu, we chose fish madras, naan, rice, chicken briyani and veggie samosas. Delicious food served hot. We were happy that we were able to taste... More

after looking for it for 5', I found this place tucked away on the 2nd floor of a building with a tiny entrance. inside the view is good over the commercial area, the staff is attentive, food is good and prices very reasonable for the area!

Had dinner, food was ok. To much colour was used in the food. Interior is not at all attractive. Only thing to consider is it is cheap.

The ambience could be improved but the food was very good! On the first floor a small restaurant. It was a pitty that they don't serve alcolhol but the excellent food was the best compensation.

A small restaurant up a couple of flights of stairs. It looks like not much but the food is fabulous. Lots for vegetarian options and friendly staff. We've been twice now and it was busy both times. We'll go again too.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
