We decided to eat at Craftsteak as we wanted steak and had no idea where to go. What a very enjoyable and pleasant find - the food was excellent - the steak cooked to perfection, the manager is knowledgeable and attentive. A must if you are really hungry is to have the steak special on a Wednesday and good value.... More

This is a cosy and casual little steak outfit. The hangar steak is my favorite as this cut is less commonly found. The slow cook beef is a must try too! Most cuts are done medium rare - in line with my view that anything more cooked would be a waste of good meat.

I'm writing this review with mixed feelings. I've been coming to this restaurant for several years now a sort of standard whenever I'm in town. So you may imagine my disappointment now that the management of Craft have removed the meat platter from the menu which was always one of my favourites there. Yes I had a lovely rip eye... More

I have lived in HK for 20 years and this is my first BAD review. We had a 'BBQ whiz-kid' visiting us from Argentina and we thought Crafts Steak! (Blue Butcher was full). I am not so fussed about the food, to each his own. The service? Sloppy for HK. The manager kept forgetting to re- fill our glasses with... More

We had a great latish Friday night dinner at Craftsteak, after a couple of drinks nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful and, on their recommendation we opted for a steak each, and three sides to share. The steaks were sensational, and we also loved the mac-n-cheese!

The restaurant is on Elgin a Street in the heart of Soho. The menu is not overly large and of course focuses mainly on Steak. The starters are reasonable - had. Tuna Tatar which was a bit bland and missing a bit of oomph! But the steaks were sensational - had a rib eye and wife had fillet. Sides are... More

Came here because I saw some good reviews on Yelp. Was thoroughly dissapointed as the steak was grainy and very chewy. It was disappointing.

We entered the resto two days before & was greeted by a jolly Filipino waiter named Romeo. He recognized us & suggested instead of eating their lunch special to come by dinner for their Wednesday Special. True enough, the place was filled to the brim with a waiting line & others having to be turned away. If not for Romeo's... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
