The dumplings were very nice. In fact, addictive! The queue can be long at lunch, but the food was worth it. Will be eating here again when back in Hong Kong!

Efficient seating arrangement and allocating, we had a 20 minute wait at the end of the rush lunch hour, but having the location it has, in the IFC Mall, right on top of the Airport Express arrivals and departures, it was packed with what I assume are tourist travellers. My dish was cold when it arrived, and it got to... More

Whichever location you go to, and there are several, this restaurant seems to be able to always serve up the same quality of food. We had the famous Xiao long bao dumplings, some vegetables, tofu noodles and noodles in soup...delicious!

This is a franchise that gets it right. It became a firm favourite in Singapore with its outlets at Holland Village and Greater World City. We visited the Hong Kong Restaurant in IFC in Central. What impresses is the spotless tables and fast service. They want you in and out quick to make more money. With such curt service you... More

We had lunch there and I would go back for sure. We got there before the crowd and the service was great. The dumplings were filled with soup. Every dish we had we enjoyed. Make sure you go early for lunch as it gets very busy

Servers will try to avoid you as much as they can. We webt there for the xiao lobg bao as my daughter is craving for one. It is not as good as the one from din tai fung. My advice - dont settle for less especially if the service is worse - or worst!

This is a well positioned restaurant that is very busy. Either call ahead or take a number before you check in downstairs. Good menu selection with tasty Shanghai cuisine.

Always interesting to eat over there even though always ordered take out! Need to order quite in advance as weekdays it gets quite crowded. Food is tasty but overall I find the price a bit too high for the quality. Overall OK experience, and wouldn't come every week but once every month is good!!

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
