This place is really good, I used to come here a lot many years ago, although as I came to Hong Kong less often, so did my visits. I remember the last time I came here was about 2 years ago. The food is definitely good although to be honest, today I felt that the quality and quantity just isn't... More

I visited here when I missed Macanese cuisine but do not get to go to Macau. This restaurant is always crowded throughout the day. This restaurant served typicaly cuisine of Macau and a favorite of the Hong Kong also. They served a suitable menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Price of food is comparable to the quality of food presented.... More

While in Hong Kong but misses Macanese dishes I would eat here. Resto atmosphere and service are typical Hong Kong but serves Macanese dishes. For breakfast or tea time I like Portuguese egg tart and milk tea. For lunch I always choose Portuguese fried noodle with whole fish, roasted pork cheek and ice lemon tea. For late dinner right choise... More

We felt like we had discovered a local's secret when we found the Macau Restaurant - the pork chop buns are delish and if there is no line up you can be in and out in no time fuelled for the day ahead.

We were recommended to this place by a local friend. As it is a HK cafe style restaurant, it opens early for breakfast and closes only after dinner service. We got our table quickly as it was about 8am and not quite peak crowd yet. The crusty bread with a dollop of butter and condensed milk is nice and our... More

Macau Restaurant is a place that serves Macanese cuisine as well as Hong Kong favorites that we recently discovered. Our companion, Delight who is used cruising Harbour City, introduced us to different restaurants in Lock Rd. but preferred this place for its authentic facade. Despite of the many customers in line and with their wide and delectable menu, food was... More

On our first day in Hong Kong we decided to go to Macau Restaurant as it was around the corner from our hotel. This was a mistake as the service in here was the worst I've ever experienced anywhere. While we were waiting for a menu the supervisor, Winnie, took the salt, pepper, soy sauce, etc off our table and... More

It's good primer to Macanese food but nothing special. They do have a good selection and great deals for lunch and is quite popular. Be prepared to wait in line outside (it's short and quick). You have to flag the wait staff down to put in an order otherwise you will wait there forever.

This place looked small from the outside. There were three of us dining so the Manager directed us to the eating area upstairs. It's a splash of colour really. Orange, green and blue leather cubicle sittings with lights everywhere. I loved the atmosphere inside. The waiters were so helpful and the food was served to fit an islander - big... More

I've never had dinner at this restaurant, however there is always a big queue. My favourite are the Macau Custard Tarts. You can queue jump and pay upfront at the desk. They give you a ticket and then the waitress boxes up the custard tarts. Make sure you buy 6.
