do you want to try the real Xiaolongbao, then go to one of the Din Tai Fung. Be aware the waiting time is no less than 30 minutes. Unless you go there just when they are opened. You may also try the Xiaolongbao in crab favors, but it costs more. On and on, go see for yourself. btw, they have... More

This was referred to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was great & very patient. The kids (8 & 10) loved it too! Very well priced and I'd certainly recommend it to others.

We had dinner one night here. The restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. I have eaten in their branches in Taiwan, Shanghai, Sydney. Quality was what was to be expected. Surprisingly, we didn't have to wait too long for our table. The place looks a bit run down though. Ordered their standard dumplings, pork chop and fried rice. Simple... More

Prompt and friendly service, but as it should be, the food here is the Star. Delicious dumplings, drunken chicken, the list is endless. Highly recommended!

The Xiao Long Bao is delicious. The soup is in perfect ratio with the meat and the skin is just so soft.

The dim sum here is absolutely excellent. Certainly amongst the best we tried in the two weeks in Hong Kong. All your dim sum favourite are served with a bit more refinement and class that you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. Service is very attentive.

Not the traditional Dim Sum place to go for real Dim Sum food. Staff were not friendly even the lunch crowd is over, vegetables served cold.

The place is huge with less crowd than we expected. We didn't have to wait for our table much in lunch hour. The food were exquisite, served by friendly staff. It's located in the downtown but somehow a bit off from the most hustle bustle area. It was also near our hotel and became one of our favorite place during... More

At some point in time if you ever plan to go to Hong Kong, you think to yourself "I've got to try all the dim sum and dumplings I can get my hands on it Hong Kong. It is the home of dim sum afterall!", and we certainly did do that. We went to a lot, from the cheap corner... More

Outside the original Din Tai Fung in Taipei, Taiwan, this is a good alternative to the original. However, for whatever reason, the taste of the items just doesn't seem to exactly replicate the items at the original location. Don't get me wrong. This HK branch is definitely much more comfortable, spacious and modern than the original in Taipei. And the... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
