Located near temple street, this is a good place for vegetarians to have some finer vegetarian food. The menu has many various options and the taste is good. You're offered drinks as well. The interior is like most local places in Hong Kong so don't expect too much. I don't know if the meat on the menu is real meat... More

Apparently everything is vegetarian, could have easily fooled me as the mock meat seems real which is great if only one of your party is vegetarian and you love meat. Vegetarians in Hong Kong should go here a few times.

I've never had a such a convincing vegetarian sushi option! All the food was tasty and the menu is huge. So excited to find Ying Vegetarian. While all the options look good, I specifically wanted to try the sashimi and sushi... the sashimi selection presents nicely, but I found the sushi more tasty, IMHO. Enjoy!

Ying vegetarian is one of my favourite vegetarian restaurant in Kowloon, HK. Situate on Temple street. If you cross the road from Tin Hau temple yau ma tei Ying will be on your left hand side. Small restaurant with limited seats and tables. But easy access and worth a try. Mainly Japanese style and asian vegetarian food plus some western... More

Average, a notch up a street stall. Had a hot pot and a soup; neither were very good but it was about the only place open on a very cold and wet HK night.

This very unassuming restaurant offers quite fabulous vegetarian food that looks and tastes like non-veggie food. They have raised veggie food to an art form. Order beef, pork or sushi and it comes looking like the real thing, but it's all veggie - and, oh by the way, delicious. I'm not a veggie, but my daughter is and we both... More

We stumbled across this place while walking through the Temple St markets on a Saturday night - it was packed and we had to wait a while for a table but it was worth it. The entire menu is vegetarian with tofu, vegetables and mock meat. The menu says to advise the wait staff if there are issues with eating... More

We have kept coming back here during our stay in HK. So many options, all veggie, a lot are vegan. Every dish has been really tasty and very reasonably priced. Clean and tidy, free tea with your meal. Awesome!

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
