Hidden through a street side-door and down a couple of flights of dark stairs, I've ended up in Le Boudoir a few times in the past. There always seem to be several other groups who have made the same trip down, and if busy it can be a squeeze as it's a tight, cozy spot once inside. Chandeliers and minimal... More

This little gem might be hard to find with its tiny sign above the door but if you can, walking down the deep stairs to a basement room, you will find a room that is full of plush velvet couches and chairs, absolutely amazing Espresso martinis and an eclectic style you will love. It is quiet and a great place... More

In a basement, you enter in a very beautiful ornamented place, that smells like inciense, but very light. Nice music and excellent drinks. Definitively the best old fashioned I' ve ever had! Careful because they not serve any finger food, just the drinks, so you better eat before getting here!

I love this tiny little cocktail bar and come here every time I am in Hong Kong. My favorite cocktail is the Spicy 50. I have been here with female colleagues and never felt unsafe (whoever wrote that in prior review must have got the wrong place or were very unluckily that night). It is very small though and can... On my last two visits here the bartenders watered down the drinks. 180 HKD is alot to pay for ice and fruit juice. I can only imagine why they are doing this. I visit HK often on business. If you look like you're from out of town or tourist there's a good chance you may experience the same. Keep an... More

Worst managed place in Hong Kong with rude, abusive employees. Unsafe for women. Please never visit for your own safety.

True to Hong Kong style, hidden and next to Pastis (French restaurant) on Whyndham street, a flight down the stairs through two floors opens the door to mystic. Go there for great cocktails and groovy music (Tip: Go for afterparty around 1 in the mornings especially Fridays) Bar tenders are classy, if you are undecided on what to have tell... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
