The restaurant looked really posh but they serve good value food. They have a great peking duck dish that our group relished. The servings are also of good size and it wasn't a long wait until the food was served. The staff are friendly too.

I love Shanghai style cuisine in all of its opulent flavors and this restaurant does a good job of it. My favorites were the steam dumplings (xiao long bao), fried rice with egg white and dried scallops and the baked red bean pastry to finish off a very satisfying meal. The stir fried seasonal vegetables was also very good. Great... More

The restaurant that we went to is located on the 13th floor of the Times Square Building in Causeway Bay. There were four of us that went for dim sum at 3 pm on a Thursday. We ordered 12 dishes and we were very happy with the food. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean and napkins... More

Great location in suburban Kowloon, Kowloon Bay in fact. Food is some of the best northern Chinese cuisine. Always go for the xiao lung bao and the house special wonton chicken pot.

We went here after going to Nan Lian garden and we're surprised by the quality and value of the food. After being disappointed so many times in Hk city as it goes with restaurant hopping this place was a pleasant surprise I just wish it was closer to were we are staying because I would eat here every day. I wanted peking duck so the hotel booked me a table at Modern China on times square. It is more like a factory, big , loads of people, within an hour most tables were empty again, no english (or very little) spoken. So if you want a nice restaurant with good friendly service skip modern china. The peking duck however... More

I've been here numerous times with my husband and the food is generally good. I went today for lunch and was less than impressed. We ordered 8 dishes, mix of dumplings, sizzling beef and tofu/veg and had to send most of it back. Suspect a change in chef or something because each dish tasted completely different to how it used... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
