I was highly recommended by friends to try out this restaurant. But to my disappointment, the food didn't taste as good as what I expected. The Swiss chicken wings were not well marinated.... they were tasty on the outside but not the inside. Really excellent restaurant serving delicious food, did not compromise with time, remained true to the golden era of Canton / Hong Kong style cooking. The food is delicious! Must order the soufflé! It is huge, puffy and yummy! The chicken wings and beef hor fun/ noodle are very delicious! Portion is huge. Do share if you could not eat much. I did not know that this traditional Cha Can Ting existed in Hong Kong since 1860. The restaurant does have good ambience, luckily the wait is not too long even if you have not made a reservation prior to going there. Even though this restaurant was founded in 1860, it still runs very well and serves very good food. My family came for lunch a couple minutes before the rush hour which is about at 11:30. Definitely stop by here if you would like to try the HK fusion type food, but too nervous to try the smaller local tea shops. I loved the decor, very vintage HK, but apart from that, nothing amazing. Founded in 1860 and still running good food. They got a menu traditional Chinese with some international fusion. The menu is partly in English and understandable for non Chinese speakers.
