Wanton dish was great, but noodle tastes weird. And this restaurant smells like a mop.. Wanted to leave asap while I was eating food there.

One of the last remaining noodle shops in Hong Kong to make their own noodle by traditional bammboo staff.

Went there for a quick lunch after meeting nearby. This was one of my favourite 20 years ago, and has become a hype noodle shop with the Michelin recommendation. Price was up, quality gone, service was simply absent! The icon dish wonton noodle soup costed over HK$40 which 30%~50% higher than the average, but the quality was just average or... More

I went for a late evening meal just for some quick food. The service was prompt and friendly, I ordered the beef tendon with noodles. The noodles were ok nothing special but the beef was excellent, wonderfully cooked and melted in your mouth. Will be back again for sure.

Had lunch here today and it was not bad, though pricier than I remembered. I had the shrimp wonton soup noodles and it was quite glood. The noodles were chewy and firm, the wontons were well filled and the broth was nice. My wife had the dry version, which cost considerably more but which came with a whole pile of... More

The main selling point for this place is the noodle. But the noodle is very dry and hard to chew. Don't get me wrong, I know what good "law mien' is like. On the other hand, the dessert (herbal tea with lotus seed & egg) is really really good. You can feel lotus seed melting in your mouth and the... More

Come to have a bowl of wanton noodle is you are around. Noodle is nice and wanton is fresh. I would like the soup to have a little more depth..then it would be very good.

Noodle here is supposedly all hand-made with traditional recipe and method. Wanted to try for long time and finally made the trip to try. The famous noodle is special with the chewy texture. Even when soaked in soup for long time, the noodle will not turn soggy. Believe it would be perfect with braised beef tendon or spicy shredded pork.... More

Was recommended to this wanton noodle place 2 years ago. I came back craving for their noodle which is tangy and tasty. Generous portion with many wanton. Paid hk75 but is worth every dollar. Still very good!!

This place has been serving noodles since 1950 according to the signage and the decor looks almost original. What made it stand out was the queue outside which went fairly quickly as you are expected to share tables. There is a good choice of food unless you don't eat pork or shellfish or are a vegetarian (don't bother coming here... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
