Awesome wide variety of local cuisine... have a chance to enjoy what's the Sultans loved to eat. We tried Nasi Traditional set which was awesome. Duck in mushroom paste was a bit of a disappointment. Very salty to our taste and subdued the flavour of the dish. But overall a good experience .

It was very unique experience because we were welcomed with very warm smile and royal way. There are mainly three areas you can choose to enjoy the night (and the menus), I personally suggest the central area. It is said that the menus are used to served Sultan (King of Yogyakarta). The price is not too expensive, worth to spent... More

If you want to taste what the royal families eat, do come here. However after trying many recommended dishes, we left with weird pallettes as many dishes do have weird taste combination. As a one-off experience, worthwhile but we won't be back again.

The food and drinks were delicious. Traditional royal food. Ambience was nice too. Place was near the royal palace. So after your sightseeing and exploring the palace do drop by this place. Just inform your chauffeur Bale Rous.

I didn't get to the restaurant but had packed lunch from the restaurant twice! Provided by locals when I just had too many things to do in one day. As a take-out it was really rather good! In a little cardboard box with a plastic 'tray' where the freshly cooked food (as they were still warm) was placed in different... More

Read about this restaurant from TripAdvisor and was also recommended by hotel staff. So my husband and I had high expectations to begin with. But we don't think it was that expectation which made us disappointed with this restaurant. Ambience was so so only. Just like any other restaurants. Nothing fancy or romantic. Service staff were not attentive. You had... More

What drives me here was the interesting fact that this resto was run by the Yogyakarta Royal family. And in the menu it is stated that some of the stuffs are king's favourite. My friend an i, of course, choose the king's favourite ones. Both of us ordered i think about 10 courses. The portions aren't that big, and the... More

Had their duck, taste was alright, presentation was good. Price was fair. Enjoyed their 'Java beer', which was called that because of the colour. It was actually a very refreshing ginger drink. Enjoyed the ambience and scenery.

We visit the restaurant on December 29th 2016, 7 persons. The food, especially the Ox Tongue Stew is the best I have ever taste. The traditional drink Wedang Secang also really good. We also ordered Other food like Java Steak, trancam (Indonesian Salad with peanut sauce), deep fried Fish Strips. Everything was good. Staffs were very polite, the service was... More

The restaurant ambience is nice IF it's taking care well. Nothing special about the food. The service was very slow. It seemed they weren't prepared for facing many customers at the same time.
