The food at this restaurant was some of the best I have had in Asia. This is even more true if you enjoy American fare. I am from Boston and the seafood at Luke's was absolutely on par with the seafood in New England. Best dishes were deviled eggs topped with fried oysters, the kale salad, and the brownie sundae.... This place has got 'quality' written all over it from the moment you make the reservation. The moment you walk in the door you know you this is going to be an experience! Attention to detail, everything is perfectly pristine. The bar is stunning without being over the top and I would happily have eaten at the bar but there... More

This place is definitely pricey but it was a lovely treat. We enjoyed the 400gn naked fillet which melted in my mouth. The side potato purée was silky and smooth. I could have bathed in it! We shared the table snack clams casino and shrimp cocktail. The clam combination very tasty and the shrimps were huge with a lovely bite... More

This cosy restaurant with attentive service in a quaint shophouse area is my top pick for the best steak and oyster bar in town. They also offer a good selection of sides, wine and beers to go with your meals. You will be back for more!

My husband and I ate here last year and we cannot get the "melt in your mouth" Steak out of our minds so after trying several steak places..we ate here again last night. Somehow it wasn't as good as we remembered it to be. Steak was a bit tough and it lost is m"melt in your mouth" goodness. It's still... More

Celebrated friend's birthday and we had a wonderful time. The bone in tenderloin was tender and delicious and we enjoyed the lobster pot pie as well. Price is on the expensive side, they do offer a small birthday cake on request but it's at additional charge.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
