Tucked in on the arab street this place serves decent sheesha and Arabic cuisine. Though the attic like space is small and cramped , it is open till wee hours of the morning. I recommend the falafels here and one can come here after club hopping scene in Singapore.

I've been exploring the bylanes of Arab Street and Baghdad Street ever since I moved to Singapore, all in my hunt to find the best place that has great shisha quality and good food + drinks options to choose from. This was one of my newest places to try out. I'm still looking. :/ We ordered a kiwi-mint shisha, the... More

I saw on groupon on the special offer and we celebrate a friend's brithday there. We sat on 2nd floor, the environment is deem and fine. However, they do not serves good food. The only thing that I feel good is the hummus and pita bread. Kebab just alright and the rest of the 4 main course that we ordered... More

A wet Sunday evening in Singapore's Arab Street area had us looking for a reasonable Middle Eastern restaurant, but as we were to find out Ambrosia should not have been our first choice. We were greeted by three friendly staff, and a casual look at the menu looked ok. We ordered two main dishes, Lamb kebabs with pita bread ($14.90)... More

We were walking around Arab Street and Baghdad street in Singapore one evening, and spent a wonderful time at the Blue Jazz Club/Pub. We then went to Cafe Ambrosia for dinner. (We had previously checked out the menu, and it looked great) It was a bit of a surprise when we finally got there, to be told, well, it's closed... More

The staff were the only thing pleasant about the whole place, courteous and polite. Sadly what they are given to serve is barely edible. My friend's main course arrived 15mins before the starters. She ate this while I waited for something to eat and what then turned up was so appalling that I hardly touched it. Tabbouleh and Fattoush that... More

I had the WORST night and the WORST ever dining experience at Ambrosia last night. My friends and I wanted to grab a quick dinner before going to see Watchmen, and we decided to check out Arab Street. We chose Ambrosia because my friend recalled being there before and having a good time. When I saw the Moroccan chicken with... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighbourhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
