We had a really nice experience at Raices. We ate the Pastel de Choclo which was very good and one of the better Empanadas in Chile (recommended). The service was good as the price.

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant on a recent trip to Chile. Staff were super friendly, food was perfectly prepared and cooked, and wine was top notch!

We took salmon and a pumpkin soap, but best dish was empanadas de queso y pino, namely empanadas of cheese and pine. They where perfectly cooked with good meat. Also the fish was good. The soap was a little insipid and the butter upon gave it a not so good taste, I think it could be improved. Suggested.

Me and my girlfriend had dinner there on Jan 1st and stayed on the tables outside. The service was very bad, couvert and drinks took too much to come, the was only 1 waitress available and clearly it was not enough. Food is excellent and dishes are well served.

Nice atmosphere, good service and good food. We tried traditional Chilean dishes Lomo a lo pobre (steak with egg, fries and onions) and pastel de choclo (Chilean casserole). Good choice for trying Chilean food but a bit expensive for what you get (it's a tourist town). Would recommend.

Our family had a great Chilean meal here at a very reasonable price. The seafood was excellent as were the wines. The service was friendly and prompt. We had no problems with the bill and were offered a 10% discount for paying with cash.

Went there solo, toward the end of the lunch time. I had the bowl of Chilean cassarole (can't remember the name) it was delicious, but the visit took over an hour because the server kept forgetting me. Still, the food was so good I'm going back, I'll just have to be more proactive about getting served.

Located on the main tourist street of this small town, Raices was a pleasant surprise. We arrived early to meet some friends and were the first clients that evening. The place is small, perhaps 6 tables altogether. They are distributed at two half-levels. There is a small bar and a couple of waiters provide friendly, efficient service. The cuisine is... More

Went here for lunch as it stated the food was authentic Chilean and there was pleasant outdoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient. We had one course each a vegetarian creamed corn with beans. This was tasty but lacked much in texture. Two had a dish which was also said to be authentic and was a bit like shepherds pie... More

We were recommended Raices by a local tour guide for authentic Chilean cuisine. We had the chicken and beef casserole which was really tasty with a great bottle of Merlot. Like the previous reviewer the bill really confused us as we also seemed to have a 20% surcharge and the usual 10% service fee. Would have preferred they stated this... More
