Authentic restaurant with delicious food, full of locals. No one speaks English, as usual for good non-touristic places. Prompt and very friendly service. Loved this place!

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant when we rented an apartment in the neighborhood. It is obviously a neighborhood restaurant, always full at lunch and in the evenings. It offeres peruvian fare (ceviches, etc) along with fabulous fresh salads, juices, and whole roasted chicken with french fries, etc. We enjoyed the ceviche mixto, reineta a la plancha, the... More

Pantaleone is located in Bellevista. This is an older section of Santiago with the feel of Santiago of the past. The restaurant is close (5-6 blocks) from the Funicular to Cerro San Cristobal. The restaurant has become part of our weekend tour for visitors (Gringo tour). Go to the top of San Cristobal by taxi or funicular and back down... More

We stopped by for lunch based on a recommendation. We had the causa rellena to start, the aji de gallina, and the ceviche (I forget the name but it came with raw and fries). And of course, pisco sours. The food was very good and our server was very friendly. We weren't there during happy hour, but it looked like... More

The Sto Domingo street has quite a few restaurants of poor quality so this is quite a good place if you are in the neighbourhood (after visiting La Moneda). The exterior/interior is a bit off putting but the meals are good and the prices are OK (for Santiago). We have had Cordon Bleu and Mixto of beef & chicken meats.... More

We happened upon Pantaleon by accident whilst wandering around Bella Vista and decided to give it a try for lunch. The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside - or inside - as the decor is tired and old fashioned. Don't be fooled. The food is fantastic. The ceviche was the best I have had in Chile. I may point... More

We found about Pantaleon through TripAdvisor and its 5 star ratings are correct. In the center of the city, it is located on a busy, breezy corner. Although the decor is more "Hole-In-The-Wall" than Four Seasons, the food was delicious in all respects. The service was excellent, friendly, beer cold, but the highlight were the entreés which were delicious. There... More

One of our best Peruvian nights out. Delicious Peruvian food with the great service. It's very affordable. Don't pay attention for the decorations is none :) but it's all about the food. Very happy and coming back.
