All you need to do to understand that this is a good place to eat, is to be there around lunch. You will most certainly have to wait if you do not get there early. The food is well prepared and there is a very complete staff of servers. I had a great Chilean Churasco, well prepared with pala. You... More

Located close to the hotel we were staying in. We had problems understanding the Spanish menu & communicating with staff. The menu specialises in burgers with several pasta options & local fish. Service was slow& the quality was very average.

Within a couple of blocks of the Pedro de Valdivia Metro stop, on Avenida Providencia, it has a promenant location, and it is hard to miss. They charge slightly more if you eat outside. I decided on a pork based lunch, urged on by the name of the place. I got a huge, nicely cooked, tasty pork loin "steak." The... More

Just had dinner at LOMIT’S on Providencia Street, in old town Santiago Chile. This is a neighborhood restraunt. Karen had the salmon and Sauvenyon Blanc, it was perfectly done and more than she could eat. I had the scallops in a white parmesian cheese sauce, quite good and different than I had envisioned. Scallops were served on the half shell... More

This is a place known for its beef: sandwiches of thin or thickly sliced filet with cheese on bun with a huge plate of fries; or an awesome browned omelette.with cheese. Many more options are available. The food is wonderful!

We ate here, as many of the resturants near our hotel were closed on a Sunday night. Initially we just went in for a beer but the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the place so full of locals eating we decided to stay. It is an old well established restaurant specialising in big burger type sandwiches. In hindsight... More

The food was good, BUT the service was far too slow. I will not go back. There are many other options with good quality and better service in Santiago. I had to ask 5 times for the check and finally stood up to the counter to pay. I could've left without paying and no one would've noticed. Finally, the added... More

This place has been there for decades, maybe some of the waiters too. I like to order a vegetarian salad *Ensalada Vegetariana) because most meat entrees are pretty big. They have lots of choices including beef, pork, seafood. Portions are large, and if you add bread, fries, and other sides. it can really add up. "Palta Reina" a stuffed avocado... More

We enjoyed a great lunch here, with plenty of choices on offer and with great service. We were able to watch our and other diners' meals being prepared, as the "kitchen" is right out in the open - at the back of the bar!

I had dinner at Lomit's because it was close to my hotel and it was Sunday night and not much choice in Santiago. I had a salad to start which I THOUGHT was going to have avocado and celery in it but was actually JUST avocado and celery- my bad for not having at least a working knowledge of Spanish.... More
