Fantastic cafe, great food, great atmosphere. Jazz playing over a light lunch. Ate delicious open sandwiches while chatting to the charming owner Cecile who is also from the UK like me! Highly recommend this spot for any meal.

We just needed a good feed after a 12 hour flight from Sydney and an awful night's sleep. Tried out Blue Jar as I was desperate for decent coffee and also some good food that wasn't heavy or fried like a lot of Chilean food is. Blue Jar fitted perfectly. The service was delightful, the brunch delicious (lovely open sandwiches... More

A local spot for cafe fare, delicious bites, a lazy afternoon outside with an espresso, or a creative and not-too-sweet dessert. Like Santiago itself, Blue Jar has a European flair, a Chilean-kissed take on a classic corner cafe: part brassiere, part coffee shop, a place where local business men in suits gather around alongside artist types. Steak frites or just... More

At a street corner a stone’s throw from the beautiful Presidential Palace La Moneda at the center of Santiago you find the Blue Jar. This is a wonderful restaurant full of light from the large windows, full of love from the owner who makes sure the guests are happy and full of exciting flavors to savor. The food is healthy,... A restaurant that goes against the current and puts a lot of effort and love into creating a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, very high quality food and impeccable friendly service. The coffee is carefully chosen and roasted on site, which is very rare in Santiago. Everything on the menu is delicious - we've been returning to this place pretty much... More

This place is located in center of Santiago near by Moneda Palace and provides from breakfast to dinner, we were very happy to find nice food and coffee there.

Good author food, great cafe, amazing sandwich. Expensive, but you pay what you get. The service is professional, supervised for the owner especially at lunchtime.

if you are in the historic district, you must try this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. We visited during lunch and enjoed a wonderful selection of small plates and open face sandwiches. Sandwiches are satisfying and inventive. Starters are full of fresh ingredients and wonderful pops of flavor. Eat inside or enjoy one of the outside tables and people watch.... More

We had a great lunch at Blue Jar late afternoon of our last day right before heading to the airport. I had a burger that was absolutely perfectly done and since I am really picky about hamburgers that's saying a lot. The fries were delicious too and my boyfriend enjoyed his curry. The only drawback were the prices which seemed... More
