We went here for dinner as we were staying in a hostel nearby. The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and the service was quick. It was full of both locals and tourists (the area is quite touristy). We got a meat platter to share with sausage, chicken, pork, steak and chorizo. It came with a few boiled potatoes... More

Shortly after we checked into our nearby hotel, we asked for a recommendation for a place to have lunch, and prefer to avoid the typical tourist spots and join the locals. This place fits the bill. We had been told to try pastel de cholco, and so glad we did. I'm going to attempt to make this dish at home... More

Our family of five were in Santiago, Chile and had dinner and Galindo Restaurant, and it was fantastic! The Paila Marina (seafood stew) had many different types of fish, shrimp, and shell fish and was very tasty; the grilled congreel was excellent; the pastel de cholco portion was a good size; the sea bass and mashed potatoes dish was satisfying,... Compared to the majority of reviews we must have got this restaurant on a bad day Sirloin steaks were tough & couldn't be eaten - need to change their butcher Fish was very dry & also largely remained uneaten - need to change their chef Service was ordinary at best

I went to this restaurant in November, with a group of friends to try the typical food. It's amazing. We tried the "pastel de choclo", really good. I also recommend the fruit juices. They are really good and fresh.

We were struggling trying to find an authentic Chilean restaurant. This was recommended by our "Free Walking Tour" tour guide, Franco. It was busy but we had no trouble getting a seat. The menu had been translated so you could actually tell what you were getting. We had some local beer and ordered our meals. The food arrived within 5... More

This well-known Chilean restaurant kind of impress me, a friend of mine told me it was good and tasteful so we went for lunch. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a waiting list so we sign up and wait, for my surprise the wait was not long, around 7 minutes. The place is not fancy and tables are... More

Pleasant atmosphere, full of life, with a typical Chilean food , very tasty and with a fair price. Big portions ! I ate Choclo's pie and the empanadas. They were great. The service was a bit confusing and not all of the waiters were friendly. But anyway it's worth a lot to visit. Next to Pablo Neruda's house (La Chascona).

I called before to ask for a table and were told on weekends including Friday no reservations are possible. Still we got a table for 5 with no problem when inside. But then the waiter kept asking for our orders even though it was clear no one was ready. He even lingered next to our table until I gave him... More
