This place is a favorite of ours when we want to get insane amounts of food and fat in our system. If you ask for fries and pork chops (chuleta a lo pobre) you'll get something out of a cartoon. Great place. Loud ambient tough as is always full, and the service is slow for the same reason. Nice local... More

My husband and I were on a quest for a traditional Chilean "completo" (a hot dot smothered in avocado and mayo, plus various other accoutrements, depending upon the establishment's specialty and completo variety). We found Mastodonte as a recommended completo source via TripAdvisor and, well, it was pretty bad. As others have mentioned, its schtick is Flintstones Chic...but understand that... More

For a short time the quality appeared to be going downhill. However, on recent visits, I am pleased to say that Mastodonte is back to its best.

We ate chorillana and the portions were huge. The one ment for 2 people were enough for 3. The food was ok, the meat a bit chewy (but then again, it was chewy in all the chorillanas I've tried). The waiter was nice and took a picture of all of us. We didn't pay much in the end, because 3... More

I'm a bit surprised at the bad reviews. My friend and I went here for dinner last night and it was one of the best meals we had in South America. The food is pretty much different meats with chips and salads. They do burgers and pizzas too. The portion sizes are massive! We had a meat platter with salad.... More

That was the worst meal we had during our whole trip through south america - PLEASE do me a favor and DO NOT GO there ... When trying to eat a bit of the meals we ordered (pizza americana / and chorrillana) we were afraid to throw up. We had to stop eating. Most of it was cold, the meat... More

My boyfriend and I shared a Chorrilana for two at this restaurant and we got a huge platter of fries and a really good-meat and-sausage mix in a kind of creamy sauce of eggs and onions - we really enjoyed the food and the wine that accompanied it. The wine is already included in the price of roughly 8000 CP,... More

All the food taste the same, the meat, the french fries, even the hamburguer, all taste like fish, and smell like it as well. Bad table service, waiters dont have any pacience and kick you out of the table as soon as they can.

The inside of the restaurant reminded me a little bit of the movie Jurassic Park (which is not a bad thing). It was really crowded when I went in, so it took a little time for the server to get to us, but he was friendly and mindful of things. The food here is pretty standard, nothing that is too... More
