So when i arrived in valparaiso i looked on TA for nice café places to have a quick lunch or snack downtown. Melbourne café showed up on top so I went for a césar salad which was not far from the worst i had (right after the Mac Donald salads basically). A few leafes of lettuce with a few artificial... As an Aussie I really enjoy a good flat white. Across the plaza from Starbu the Melbourne coffee shop delivers real coffee in a busy friendly atmosphere. 😎

Everything is very good, salades, cakes and coffee. It's on Plaza Sottomayor, mostly clean and friendly. Visit while touring through Valparaiso and enjoy that mostly locals visit it

I would not normally have taken the time to review Cafe Melbourne had it not given the pretence of offering great coffee, the sort you might find in, say, Melbourne, Australia. It looks the part but totally failed to deliver. My flat white bore more resemblance to the milky Chilean coffee I've had for days on end rather any flat... More

We went there three times as we were sick of the instant coffee everywhere. The coffee is really really good here. From upstairs you have a nice view over plaza sotomayor. Wifi is ok, staff doesn't speak english but tgat does not matter as you can always point on the menu :)

Looks and feels like a café ripped out of the heart of Melbourne CBD and surrounds. Being from Melbourne, and having spent far too much time in cafes while I should have been in lectures, it actually felt a little strange going into a place that was almost boringly familiar. BUT the coffee is good, there are pleasant places to... More

The only coffee hit in South America. Australians are spoilt when it comes to a quality cup of coffee. After many failed cups of coffee on our trip around South America, we have found our home away from home coffee hit. These guys know and respect the coffee making process, especially the importance of heating the milk. We came back... More

Really loved the setup of the café. As a foreigner, it was one of the only spots I found quality, non-instant coffee in town. When I was there, however, they claimed to have wifi and a waitress later confessed it was not actually working. That was my only complaint. Other than that, nice location right in the heart of the... More
