if you want to have a good high quality loca food restaurant, thesis it. Beautiful decoration, variety of menu options yet i find it quite expensive for average tourists

Visited Mea Culpa as it was recommended in a guide book and was close to our hotel. Lovely restaurant, formal service very expensive, particularly the wines. The food was nothing special and we were the only guests!! I am sure you can eat better and much cheaper in Quito

The restaurant is beautiful and our wait staff was attentive and courteous. The food wasn't the BEST we had in Quito but it was certainly very good.

If you visit Quito and want to have a nice dinner, mea culpa is a great option. Located in the main square of Quito, Plaza de la Independencia, this restaurant gives you the opportunity to enjoy a good meal while having a nice view and having a good warm cocktail called "canelazo". After that you can enjoy a nice walk... More

At 7pm we were the only ones in the restaurant, were well-taken care of, food was fine but expensive. The next night (Friday) we took a Food Walking tour and enjoyed this street food so much more.

Recommended by our hotel as we were looking for something close within walking distance. It is on the main square and although when we arrived it was very quiet, soon after, many tables had been filled. The service was very good and attentive. Overall, we were impressed by the food and very much enjoyed it. While on the pricier side,... More

Lovely restaurant on the second floor directly above Independence Plaza, the very heart of old Quito. Refined and well-appointed, we enjoyed a flavorful and leisurely lunch of traditional Ecuadorian fare. Recommend it highly if you're in Quito's old town

Title says it all. Ate there on a Wednesday with my mom and GF. The service was very sniffy and slow, as if they were doing us a favor. The food was good - not the best I've had in Quito, but not the worst. The prices, on the other hand, *are* the worst. Honestly; at their prices, the food... More
