Food was excellent and our waiter, Mario, was both friendly and helpful in explaining the Ecuadorian dishes. Portions were large-the soup "appetizer" could have been a small dinner by itself. I had a pork dish and my wife had the steak. Both were very well...More

Looked for good local flavor but found just an overpriced poor imitation. Service was slow and the food selection did not qualify as local flavor.

Excellent service delicious food and traditional music-would highly recommend eating here. A fabulous plantain appetiser was brought to us free of charge as they felt they’d kept us waiting ( which we didn’t feel they had). My husband had stuffed potato cakes with guacamole and...More

Everything was great!! Must if you are in Quito. They take reservations. The place is beautiful. The menu provides vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Seafood is of course amazing. Interesting appetizers.

Description
ACHIOTE ECUADOR-CUISINE, we are the entrepreneurship of a small Quito family that has an extensive culinary tradition, where you can not only enjoy Ecuadorian food, but also feel the warmth of a home and a country located in the heart of the Andes . The restaurant offers an unforgettable cultural experience, with an extensive menu of innovative recipes that includes vegetarian options and a diversity of flavors that challenge the palate and bring an exquisite and renewed touch to Ecuadorian cuisine. All this in an intimate atmosphere, accompanied by good music and bilingual attention; in one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Quito, La Mariscal. The ingredients used are organic, endemic and of high quality, always subjected to a process of gourmet preparation that pays homage to a town that knows how to make the heart happy from the palate.
