My wife and I frequent tanoshi, at least once a month, but sometimes more. On valentines day (a holiday not widely celebrated in Ecuador) we went at 630 PM only to find we needed a reservation to eat there. The restaurant was completely empty, because...More

If you're going to eat sushi out in Quito, this is one of the better restaurants to choose. The fish is fresh, the rice authentically prepared (not mushy), and the atmosphere is pleasant. The combinations are unique and the sauces tend to the sweet side....More

We celebrated with friends at this restaurant. It was difficult to order as the waiter did not know English and we didn't know much Spanish. The food was very tasty.

I'm not sure if the food has been "localized" to match the local taste buds but the Sushi isn't authentic.... fusion... but missing the target. Not Bad mind you, just nothing to shout about. Understand that they're in the mountain, so I won't suggest the...More

This is a great place to go for sushi, food is always good and fresh. The place has a great atmosphere and they have 2x1 in cold rolls some nights... highly recommended. You can go with family, friends, on business or on a date.

If you're looking for tastier sushi, Noé might be a better option, and slightly cheaper. But Tanoshii is more traditional, and the atmosphere is way better. I think it provides a more private setting for business, for example.
