Used to be one of the fanciest restaurants in Quito. Now it is a semi-formal place where the food is OK, service is good and prices are ridiculous. I have been there 5 times and tried many dishes. The tuna was overcooked last time. The ribeye had a terrible smell. My husband only had a few bites. Drinks at the... More

We spent 3 weeks in Ecuador, and this was by far the best restaurant of the trip. They had an imaginative menu and excellent waitstaff. The 7 or 9 course tasting menu was especially fabulous. They even did paila (tradiditional fruit sorbet dessert) tableside using liquid nitrogen. If you go to Quito, you have to go to this restaurant!

Food was fabulous. However the service was very stuffy and while nicely modern the room lacked charm.

We were there with family and the restaurant was near Marriot hotel and was easy to walk. The ambience is really nice, the staff is very attentive. I wanted to try guinea pig, but unfortunately it was disappointing, the tuna I took was also not good. Others were happy with the meat choices. Pastas were too salty.

Love Zazu! Fascinating menu, either tasting or ala carte. Divine dishes--loved the pork taquitos, consuela and the blackberry sorbet made at table side. Highly recommended.

Went here three times over the course of a 1-week vacation in Quito, and can't recommend it enough. Our first visit was to escape the summer rain, and we were greeted with a warm reception and personalized cocktails made by Luiz at the bar. We were so impressed that we came back a few days later for the 7-course tasting... More

On Saturday we went to have dinner at Zazu, it had a classy and stylish environment. Unfortunately we were wearing t-shirt and shorts, thankfully that was not a problem, the host, Lenin was very attentive and he was aware of our reservation. After we told him our names he immediately took us to our table without any delay, after we... More

What to make of this place? At $75 a person in Quito, one should expect a lot. We visited with family members on a Thursday night and had a very uneven experience. Some dishes, like the tomato soup and cerviche, we're outstanding. Others, such as a crab salad and lamb chop, we're blah. The pisco sour was terrific, but the... More

There were 9 of us and all had an interesting and delicious meal to boast about ! Menu extensive enough for all to have something different, serving portions spot on and the seafood did not discount. Wine list good too. It's the perfect choice for foodies special night out in Quito!
