Lately I have been in a few places looking for picarones. We did not the perfect recipe. Here the picarones were done on the traditional way. They had a good presentation and the exact flavor we were looking!! Highly recommendable.
I came here right when they opened at 5pm on a Saturday evening because I was told that there would be a monster of a line if I came any later. Well, I was the only person in the restaurant until 5:45pm so take your...time. The anticuchos are more expensive than what you will find on the street and honestly, even though they were okay, they did not give me the local, casero deliciousness that I was expecting. I wanted grandma’s or auntie’s cooking but I got restaurant. The pepper sauce was not as spicy as promised and I was really missing something *wow* about the meat. Enjoyable, but missable.More
This is a fantastic little eatery located in Miraflores. This is exactly the type of place that foodie adventurers seek out. It was originally a street kiosk that became so famous with its flavors and ahi sauces, that the chef opened her own brick and...mortar location. Inside you will down pictures of the chef with celebrities and high ranking politicians —and once you taste the antichuchos, you will understand why she is so famous. I can’t recommend this place enough.More
We arrived just as they opened at 5PM on a Thursday. We were the first customers. There were no other customers before we left at ~5:45pm except a take out order. Some notes about the restaurant. You order and pay before you take your seat....The menu is brief but we were there for the antichuchos.
we ordered chicken skewers and beef heart skewers. The chicken was flavorful but it was chicken breast. the beef was great, and well worth the trip to the restaurant. Both the chickena dn beef were served with two home made salsa. One was extremely hot, the other pretty hot. Do not skip the salsa just start with a small dose and enlarge it as you understand the heat. Beef heart were fantastic especially with the red salsa. The green/yellow salsa was also very flavorful.
The dishes also come with generous slices of boiled potato served cold.
The dining room is long and narrow with communal seating, but we ate alone. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, and has a brief list of beverages.
Price for 2 skewers of beef heart (corazon) and two skewers of chicken breast and two bottles waters was s/64.00 ($21.00) for two. We came close but did not finish the food we ordered as we became full. Very, very good, and an experience.More
So we'd had heard about anticuchos and knew what we were letting our selves in for and decided to try them - when in Rome right? This staple of the Peruvian diet is grilled beef heart. It was delicious! Traditionally served with 2 dips -...one spicy - and potatoes.
If you like meat, definitely try it. Really tender and tasty.More
We came to this cozy restaurant by recommendation one our family members that leave in Lima.
The place is kind small and mostly served the locals and its on the Miraflores area but not in center.
You coming pay for your simple menu of Anticuchos...& Potatoes 🥔, and you add choclo ( Peruian corn 🌽, you get seated as soon as seats comes available and your food is served! Pretty simple process! The kitchen is in the middle that is barbecuing the Anticuchos.
Anticuchos is traditional Peruvian dish that the meat is the heart of 🐄.
Overall the food and atmosphere where great and if you come to Miraflores is a must 👍More
I was exited because everybody say these are the best to eat anticuchos in Lima....well is no true! First of all when I asked for chicken anticuchos they told me they don't have, so I tried the regular anticuchos and for my surprise they were...dry and no flavour at all, the potatoes that come with the anticuchos were cold sitting on a shell for hours!!!!😱😱😱😱the salsa for the anticuchos was salty and the choncholi over cook. The place is small and uncomfortable....expensive place, nothing special and for sure I never come back and recommend at all!More
Tia Grima was for many years the anticuchera of my Miraflores neighborhood; until she moved to her own space and gain national recognition.
Tia Grima has maintained the same level of deliciousness and dedication. Her plates show her long-lasting passion to be the best in...what she does best. Love Tia Grima's anticuchos!More
The portion of beef heart was of decent size and very tasty. The mixed meal was rather small for a normal man as they don't really serve anything else except a potato. But this is an idea of anticuchos. You can additionally buy boiled corn...though.
Since it's a famous place now it's not that cheap for what you get.More
