This restaurant is a few blocks from the main tourist areas but worth the hunt. It was recommended to us by a couple we met in town and they had wandered into it accidentally. Its charm is in its seclusion and family feel. Hubert Lazarte is very welcoming, speaks good English. The rest of the family works hard but stays... More

They have a good buffet of real coffee, tasty fruit, good eggs and pancakes, cereal, local bread, homemade yoghurt and jam. Our son said this was his favorite breakfast place on our trip. The owner is very helpful and friendly.

We came back from Machu Pichu hungry and happily exhausted. It was late- no time to shower before eating dinner. Everything closes up by 10 pm. Didn't want fancy, expensive, formal dining with no shower and in our hiking gear. Wandered into KB purely by accident. We both ordered the veggie quesidillas and trout skewers- both starters- both delicious! The... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local and he was right on. The food was excellent. The alpaca and the chicken soup was especially good. The portion sizes were very large. The service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. You will go away from this restaurant satisfied. Very highly recommended.

While staying at the Hotel Iskay next door, I had breakfast twice at El Huatacay and dinner once. The breakfasts were ample spreads with everything from eggs to bread to cheese and so on. Dinner was a highlight as I ordered cuy, the guinea pig, roasted. A cultural tradition. I'd never had it before. It was beautifully prepared with lots... More

I stayed 3 nights in Ollantaytambo as my base to visit Macchu Picchu. I enjoyed my room at the Hostal Iskay and they give you a voucher to use for breakfast buffet at the Huatacay Restaurant. As in the hostal, in this restaurant you are on a slope looking across to the other slope on which the Inca Ruins of... More
