Just a the best mollejas. Well seasoned, perfectly cooked and amazing taste. Beside the mollejas I'd ordered a medium rare entrecôte but I ended up with a well done entrecôte (not nice at all). Don't miss the mollejas!

What a pleasure joy finding a barbecue joint like this near my hotel! One of the best entrecotes and flank steaks I've ever had! Waiters and cook really caring and considerate!
Going early is still crowded but with international guests. Later in the evening it's locals. Be prepared to either sit on a barstool or stand to eat one of the best meals you'll have in Montevideo. Family run, warm convivial atmosphere. You will have a...More
This place is rated the best steak in the city and it was very good. It is a small place; we had to sit at the counter, looking outside at the line of customers. The steaks were tender and juicy, ala carte potatoes and fries...More

This place was recommended by the local lady I was staying with. I'd had a very long tiring day & almost didn't go but I'm so glad I went! The meat was cooked Uruguayan style and the layout of the restaurant, with a seated area,...More
Loved the asada steak, and the sausage. Perfectly cooked and seasoned! Service was top notch. Definitely arrive at the opening time, or expect to wait for a table as the tables were full prior to the restaurant actually opening :)
I have been to Uruguay about seven times to teach golf. La Pulperia is my favorite restaurant every trip. It just so happens to be up the street from my friends house, and I always make a point to eat one meal here. The owners...More
La Pulperia is a very typical Uruguayan feel restaurant. Actually, it is more like causal food. Foods are good value and good taste. I like the most was sitting in the bar, facing the "parilla" (BBQ place) having a beer or wine, watching chief to...More
