Decided to have lunch hear. They advertise $3.50 beer but this is only available at the Hula bar and not the restaurant. We had the fish it turned out to be crumbed Tuna. The food was only average. The beer was not very cold. It opposite the airport and is popular due to people filling in time while waiting for... More

Kia Orana. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read you disliked your experience at the Islander Hotel. To clarify, our menu features lots of seafood meals as well as two cooked fish options: a. Crumbed Fish & Chips (Y.F. Tuna or Marlin); b. Grilled Fish (Mahimahi or Y.F. Tuna) Both options above are clearly featured on our... More

My little family of four decided to stop here for dinner. Upon entering, we weren't to sure what to expect considering the outside says The Islander Hotel and makes no reference to a restaurant. As we waited for a table, we noticed the restaurant part was particularly big inside. They even had a swimming pool inside the restaurant which made... More

Had couple of tasty meals at the restaurant. Service was awesome. We also did the island night on the Tuesday and this would have to be the highlight of our trip. Generous buffet meal and amazing entertainment. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Had dinner, smoked chicken, cranberry and cream cheese pizza, and a fish burger. The pizza was really good, the burger was a bit over cooked, and the chips tasted like the deep fryer fat needed changing. There was a young lady there, very lovely and kind. We tipped her because she was looking after us. Nice scenery!

We went during locals night and it was so worth it! All the food(bbq and local dishes) you can eat plus a cultural show. Great value too! Tip: Make sure you dress up for this!

Kia Orana. Thank you for your review. Our NZD12.50 BBQ Pork Ribs are a top-seller in our restaurant; and a long wait would have meant the kitchen team were preparing a new batch - a timely process which involves broiling ribs in herbs, then roasting with the sticky plum & hoisin sauce. The fresh habanero chili's & coriander pack a... More

Pizzas are good! The atmosphere was pretty cool too. Awesome place to check out. Wish the pool was open 24/7 though. Cheap drinks! It's also good that they separate the dining area from the bar... !

Kia Orana. Thank you for your review. We are pleased to read you enjoyed your pizzas, drinks at the Hula Bar (separated from the restaurant area) and the waterfront atmosphere. Our pool closes at 6pm to ensure the floor area around the restaurant is dry during busy service. Kia Manuia. More

I just could not finish my dinner : it was not fresh. The service was slow and not organized. Not enough light to check what's going on in your plate.

Kia Orana, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read you did not enjoy your meal with us. If service was slow, it must have been a very busy night for us as we usually deploy the full floor team for dinner service. We have a small kitchen and simply cannot hold much food in stock, meaning everything... More
