Peaceful atmosphere under the trees in the garden and tasty local food, very pleasantly surprised and would go back any time.

I've been several times here with my colleagues and we've dinned both inside and outside in a beautiful and spacious garden (it is hard to believe that the restaurant is located not far from a busy street). Last time we've booked a table inside the villa because of the bad weather forcast. The place is very quiet, there is no... More

This restaurant is located next to the Sheraton Hotel near the centre of Bucharest in a wonderful old building which has seen better days. Do not be put off by the fact that it appears run down or that the place is often almost empty. In summer meals are mainly served in the garden to the rear. I had wonderful... More

My 5* rating should not be taken to mean that this restaurant is comparable with any Michelin Star properties, or indeed, any rather good restaurant. It is only a reflection of the overall ambience, time-warp and delight that I found when I entered the rather daunting front door of this massive villa in central Bucharest. It is an odd place,... the location is amazing, in a villa right in the middle of the town. the food was good but the staff can be a little more friendly.

a gorgeous garden with mimosa trees, belongs to Romanian Science Academy, amazing people, good traditional Romanian food! A beautiful building, old Bucharest architecture. Worth visiting this place.

This restaurant deserves much more popularity than it has! It barely seems like a restaurant, but more like a small palace in the middle of the city. Their staff is friendly, and ther menu is variant and rather cheap, but especially the gorgeous building makes dinner here a must. The only pity was that it was quite empty, but with... More

Let's be clear, Casa Oamenilor de Stiinta is probably not a place to go for the quality of food or service. It's in an extraordinarily handsome building, which was once the residence of a famous Romanian engineer. It's the kind of place that you would stumble upon (as we did, walking towards the centre from cartier Floreasca); it's probably not... More

The place is beautiful, an old villa, in the summer there are tables in the garden. There are several rooms with nice decoration liberty-style. If I well understand it is a sort of Club for University professors. We were there at dinner with some colleagues of the Faculty. The appetizer was not bad with several local specialties (including fried veal... More
