Very likely the best Italian food I have ever eaten and for a time we lived near New Haven Connecticut where the Italian food is very very good. This is a gem of a restaurant. I can't believe it's not yet on trip advisor. A must visit with a great view of the Square right in the middle of the... More

While the food was pretty tasty, it was unfortunate most of our table left the restaurant in a bad mood because of our obnoxious server. I'm okay with the occasional up-sell, but his constant over the top salesmanship took over the peaceful night we had all hoped for. Not to mention charging us $50 for a small platter of seafood... We have been here twice this week. Covina Marinara was wonderfully topped with shrimp and other seafood delights in a rich marinara sauce. Panacotta for desert made it perfect.

The chef and owner is Italian, He cooks very good. If he is in the restaurant you can ask for his personal suggestion and most of the time is perfect. The pasta is always al dente, the sea food always fresh. Last time we went we had a pepper steak and pasta. Gnocchi bologna and alfredo pasta with chicken. The... More

The owner and chef is always there to make sure you like the dish you ordered. Great egg plant parm, all variations of pasta, including lasagna. The owner often sets a whole table with free appetisers which are always delicious.

We had the "berenjena marinada" first. It was very good, for seconds the Spaghetti Pescatore al olio, was delicious, with lots of shell fish and a great taste. The pasta was al dente and perfectly done. Sadly there was no tiramisu for desert, but it's a place to go if you want to have a really good Italian dinner.

If you've visited Panama, you know there is a surprising number of Italian restaurants. This is out of the way near the Canal Administration building on Cerro Ancon. The food is excellent and the wait staff are very friendly and patient with our limited Spanish.

It was lunch time, and my husband and I were in the mood of Italian food. We were in the neighborhood and remembered this place, that we had visited before, but suddenly came again to our memory. It was a Sunday, and we were greeted at the parking by one of the waiters with an umbrela, it was rainy day,... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a Panamanian-Italian (which is a good sign!). The food was amazing, the service was high quality, good wine selection, and VERY nice ambiance. The prices were very reasonable. We really enjoyed the anitpasto bar as an appetizer. Was pleased with everything!

As you would expect, a restaurant called "Pastissima" tends to specialize in pasta. I would not recommend visiting if you're after a different fare. I understand the owner (who I hear is busy launching another restaurant) is Italian. You wouldn't know it judging by the numerous typos on the menu. If you spell VANGOLE and PROSCUITTO, maybe you need to... More
