People need to see the kitchen and the cook before they sit down to eat. They might have good food, but not the cleanest place.

This large dance hall like restaurant is only open for breakfast. We arrived for lunch disappointed. Nothing more to say.

Great food! Consistently excellent. Best homefries. Fish tanks all over for your entertainment while you wait for your meal.

They make a very good sausage and biscuits and breakfast is always good. Servings are generous, Once again an old building and outdated atmosphere

I ordered the 2 pancakes with bacon advertised at $5.69 on the menu. One of the cakes I ordered plain and the other with chocolate chips. The food tasted fine and I was surprised by the nice plate presentation. However, on the menu, the price...is for 2 flavored pancakes (ie: strawberry, chocolate..) but when I received the bill, I had been charged a la carte and the check came to nearly $10! When I said I may have been overcharged, the server told me that since I got one plain pancake "we HAVE to do it this way". Ha! Unbelievable. ..I get less chocolate chips and am charged an additional $3! I may be "from away", but as an American and veteran, I'm appalled at being raked over the coals for an extra few bucks...and on Memorial Day weekend to boot. Won't be back.More

I pedaled to Anson and arrived hungry at 7 a.m. I felt a shiver of fear that they wouldn't be open this early on Sunday. I need not have worried, they open seven days a week at six a.m. The menu offers a great selection...including a bunch of tempting omelets. My waitress was efficient with one small lapse, I had to call for a coffee refill, and she made up for that by offering me the Sunday paper. This restaurant is large, and spacious with many windows that make it quite inviting.More
