I stopped into Baku's for a late lunch after taking a hike on a summer day. I'm vegetarian so I ordered the "Signature Jollof Rice, Beans and Vegetables" for a mere $5.95 and a glass of "Super Spicy Ginger Beer." The owner made everything to order from scratch. The ingredients were fresh ! green beans cooked just right and the... More

I wasn't very hungry, but I was with a small group who was, and I enjoyed the food here anyway. The chicken was cooked to absolute perfection, moist, tender, very flavorful---yet not fried, but stewed. Savory side dishes and green beans also cooked to the optimum point. The chef knows what she is doing. Low prices, too.

I love Nigerian food and I am picky since my in-laws make great Nigerian food. I was very excited to try this place but it was not as god as other Nigerian food that I tasted. The service was o. I was

I loved this place. It's local & delicious. The own knows fun & is a great companion. I came in alone for lunch & left feeling happy & satisfied like I'd been at a family table We are All Relatives. Food is the diplomat & translator.

The Nigerian food was marvelous! Very homey, owner explained the food, her culture and was very friendly. The service was like your grandmother's kitchen, so don't expect fancy, snooty or fawning.

We wanted to try a restaurant with food you couldn't get in the dorms, thus ended up at this African (Nigerian) restaurant. At first, we were wary. It was early for dinner and we were the first customers. The lady who ran the restaurant was overly nonchalant, which we didn't know was cultural or non-confident of the food, which we... More

We arrived about 7:30pm on a Saturday during winter break. Understandably the place was empty with the college students all out of town. There was one girl working and we took the menus over to the table area to pick out what we wanted to eat. We came back up to the counter and was informed then that they were... More

Don't miss Baku's. I had never had Nigerian food before, and I had some doubts when we walked in, because the decor is very simple, and it's a one-woman show. However, when I peered over the counter and saw that everything was super-organized and freshly made from scratch, I knew it would be good..... And then I found out, after... More
