We picked this place because of TripAdvisor reviews, and were so glad we did. I had the duck, and my husband and daughter both had the burger. All of it was fantastic, with great service. This restaurant is right off the main square and we had a window table with lots of people-watching opportunity. Highly recommend!

Apparently, Hectors is a 'go to place' in Antigua. Not sure why... but that's not saying it's bad. It just has some work to do. The restaurant doesn't take reservations. It's small. Like really small. It's tight, particularly for a larger group (we were 9). The menu is restrictive yet reasonable. There's a daily specials board, too. Drink options aren't... More

Cute, small restaurant in Antigua Guatemala. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table right by the front door. Would have been nicer to be in the main area but we weren't sure how long of a wait that would take. Food was good.

One of my favorite places to eat in all of Central America for its tasty steak sandwiches, also offering duck and shrimp specials. The Beef Bourgeon is ok, though their specialty is the steak sandwich when cooked right. Sits in a trendy area of La Merced Park and has a old-vibe reminisce of La Poubel in late 90s LA or... More

The food was fantastic, the service wonderful. There's nothing negative to say about this place. Go there early, it's v small and fills up.

This is a small restaurant that doesn't take reservations. It is justifiably popular as the food is fantastic. I started with carpaccio, followed with quiche and salad. It was all wonderful. But the dessert was something I hadn't expected - ice cream with olive oil and black salt. Quite amazing. The ambience in the restaurant is pleasant and staff are... More

A very small place with a great feel, Hector's was a good choice for dessert and drink mid day. We made the mistake of trying to get in here on a friday night after squeezing in and being told to leave as they were too full. We could have waited but thought we would try another day for a less... More

Hectors is a small (12 table) restaurant downtown Antigua Guatemala. Menu is small but there is something for everyone prices are reasonable with a decent wine list. It is reliably good time after time. Service is warm and welcoming you never feel rushed. Interesting dessert list as well. If you are in that end of the world take the opportunity... More

This was one of our favorite stops in Antigua. Like many other spots in Antigua, this one is a little hard to find. There are only about six or eight tables nestled into the little space, but it is worth the wait to get in! Dining here feels more like eating with the family than eating at a restaurant! The...
