We first passed by when walking from our hotel to town and I immediately said we need to come here. Later that day a local recommended us to go there for traditional food and of course we went. When you enter you will need to select which dish you want to have and select two sides. Everything was good. Everyone... More

it seems like that the owners were selling street food before opening the restaurant. The issue is that the food is regular but with high price for what it is. Even our friends from Guatemala told us to avoid the place, but it was too late.

We went for lunch to this place as it was very local and found it in the Lonely Planet guidebook. Only after going there we realized that it had been featured on Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods on Travel Channel. We reached there quiet late hence found it not very busy. At the entrance were these claypots with different types of... More

We had heard great things about this restaurant but that was not our experience. We were rushed through our food selection and were given abrupt replays to our questions. Also noticed that locals got bigger servings than we did As we were sitting at our table waiting for our food and having a private conversation, a waiter came and moved... More

Came here after a long day of driving and a bike ride. There meals are one meat and two sides which is plenty of food! Good selection of meat and sides. Super cool covered patio, like an oasis in the jungle. Good attentive service and friendly staff.

Went here for a fancier dinner of local flavour. The meat dishes were fine but we found the sides were very bland. Also the wine they served wasn't very nice. The service was excellent though!

Our group wanted to immediately dive in and experience authentic Guatemalan culture and cuisine. La Cuevita delivered. My chicken Pepian was deliciously decadent. Upon walking into this restaurant, you're greeted with the simmering clay pots of the day's selection of foods. In addition to the wonderful food we were pleasantly surprised with the lovely courtyard where we enjoyed our meal.... More

Ate here with a group of friends on the rooftop, beautiful views, cool breeze on a hot day. Everyone enjoyed their food. First of all, there are no surprises. The price includes 1 meat and 2 sides. Many of the meats are stewed in various sauces. I had the lamb, which was tasty and plentiful. Others in our group had... More

This was the third time I visit this place, and the last one. The place was so crowded you have to make a line to order, I'm ok with that, the thing is the waiters take your food away from you to place it on the table and they get all confused and bring you the wrong plate, you have... More
