Probably both my partners and my favorite meal in Guatemala.Big portions and good value for money we were both stuffed at the end.I got the local chicken soup dish and my partner the steak.I could not decide a favorite and should have returned my last night in Guatemala.

Great soups at a great price. The restaurant is very small but the soups are very big a tasty! We consider “Caldo de Patas” is the best one.

We discovered La Casa de Las Sopas last year on a visit and we looked forward to our return. I love their lentil soup. We each ordered the large lentil, which came with garlic bread and baked chips for 45Q each. So much soup, we ended up taking half of it with us for later on. It's not a huge... More

Great place for soups (lunch or dinner), very friendly and diligent service. Delicious taste, fair prices, and pet friendly too! Very close from the Parque Central, a must if you want to taste Guatemalan soups.

Great place! We had the Carne pequeno and a soup. Both were excellent and large portions! The price was very reasonable.

We went here twice. We tried the grilled fish, the grilled meat (asado) and sopa de albondigas (tomato with meat balls), . Not only were the three courses very taste, they also costed us only Q50. The staff was very friendly. There were not many people at that time, but we were very happy to be one of them.

We had me walking around the town for far too long after not having eaten all day so near staving felt like an understatement. La Casa de las Sopas offered all the traditional soups but also a few other plates too. These are very reasonably priced and had an authentic feel to the Mayan dishes. However as they do not... Soup sounded like it would be the perfect dinner. Ordered the Pepian, a traditional brown broth with chicken, rice, potato & vegetable. It was very tasty and very filling. Seating is in a courtyard and the server was very courteous and nice. They add 10% to the bill for service. Pepian cost 45q. It seemed most soups on the menu... More

Description
Small intimate restaurant that make homemade dishes. We specialize in soup and Guatemalan CALDOS, which is like a soup on steriods! We buy all of our produce fresh from the local market and cook everything from scratch. For our customers that arent too interested in soup, we have plenty of options you will like. Our soups are served with a salad and large local heavy bread w/garlic mayonaise pesto. Come in and try our local dishes, you wont be disappointed.
