The menu is limited to tapas-style servings, so you'll be eating wonderful food, but not really a traditional meal. Our group of four ordered five plates and had enough. The food really WAS delicious. The beers are more interesting than in most local places. The decor is simple but the food was delicious.

With a group of 5 we went here for lunch. It's small (but perhaps there's more space somewhere in the back) but that's fine. We just ordered different fish, meat and vegetarian dishes for the group. Service was quick and friendly. Not sure if the staff speaks English but that did not matter as you pretty much can work our... More

We stumbled across this amazing little restaurant. Who would think you could find fantastic Asian tapas in Guatemala? We sat where we could watch the cooking and we were so surprised that they were above to make delectable meals from their tiny kitchen. If you like eggplant, you must try the roasted eggplant appetizer. It had the taste and consistency... More

You can tell the chef trained at Nobu! Everything we had here was lovely. It is also a small place so the service is excellent. We ate here twice and both times were fantastic.

I went to Izakaya twice in my staying at Antigua. The Restaurant is run by a beautiful couple, husband and wife. The Fish is fresh and tasty. The Chef-Owner with his wife make sure you will leave this place satisfied. They have also many vegetarians options. If you are in the mood for amazing food, this is the place. Thanks... More

We make it a point to go every time we are in Antigua and always talk about it multiple times leading into the trip. The level of service Lorena and Gabriel provide is second to none -... More

I have now gone to three Japanese restaurants in Antigua and this one is a little more on the exy side but well worth the money! Amazing Japanese - sushimi and wagyu, highly recommended! I will definitely be returning! If you appreciate good Japanese you must try Izakaya!

Izakaya is a tapas restaurant—the four of us ordered about 7 different dishes which were delivered to our table over the course of about an hour. All praised the eggplant en miso; I particularly loved the mushrooms/zucchini. My friend raved over the mahi-mahi en miso. The restaurant is small. We were at first the only ones there and enjoyed great... More
