We had an outstanding meal there! In fact, it was our favorite meal in over a month in Guatemala. We love Japanese cuisine and this restaurant produces creative translations of favorite dishes and creates anew! Will go back again when we return to Antigua.

The food here is absolutely delicious and in a very nice relaxed setting! It is a little overpriced though.. Would certainly go back again!!

The grilled mushroom and zucchini were out of this world. The best tasting mushrooms you will have in your life. They absorb an incredible aromatic smokey flavor from the grill. The other dishes were all great and my only constructive criticism is that the beef carpaccio needed to be cut thinner. Otherwise an excellent place to enjoy fine Asian food.

This has officially moved to my favorite restaurant in Antigua. As a resident here for the last 2 years, I decided to try it after finding it a little lower in the list on Trip advisor. Honestly I have to believe a few of the poor reviews are from competitors because everything here was top notch, fresh, and priced very... More

Ok so I've only been to Mexico and Guatemala but will easily say that this is the best restaurant I've eaten at in months. The food is outstanding. It's very clear how much they care about the quality of the produce they use and it translates through to their food. Even from the start, the edamame was perfectly cooked. We... More

This is a very tiny restaurant, located near the super popular Arco de Santa Catalina. I came here because some friends had been here before and recommended the place. Just to clarify: This isn't a sushi restaurant! It's sort of robata-latam fusion. I have to say my friends' recommendation was spot on! The food was really good, the prices were... More

Who would think you could find a good Japanese restaurant in Guatemala (Antigua)? Well you can! It's small with a limited menu, but everything we tried was great (Edamame with a horseradish/mayo sauce, chicken yakitori, fish tiradito, and shrimp tempura.) In case you're wondering fish tiradito is like ceviche - but its origin is Peru.) Decent wine list, attentive service.

Delicious food. My favorites are the ribs and the eggplant. Order several small plates to share among friends to try a wide variety of fusion flavors.

Big flavor from an amazingly small kitchen. Perfect tempura. Friendly service. Great lunch place. This was our second visit and we are looking forward to the meal here.

Great food, and service. Think Asian tapas. A must if you're looking for something a little different in Antigua.

Izakaya is a Japanese Sake Establishment which also serves food to accompany the drinks. Enticing Oriental Appetizers with a tropical twist, creating a fusion between guatemalan and asian flavors. Fine cuisine prepared in an open kitchen, by reknown chefs with an international trajectory, which includes Nobu, Zuma & Gordon Ramsay in London. Cozy atmosphere and great music.
