We saw this place on the way from Citadel. Its a hidden place if you want to escape busy streets. The interior is interesting. I liked the vintage serving samples on the wall. The food was good. We got 2 soups, salad and throat for two. The "schavel" cream soup with blue cheese was good. The beet broth with galushki... More

It is a strange place: great, tasty food and at affordable prices. The restaurant's interior resembles an old private apartment, with interesting pictures on the walls -- potential for unique Galician experience off beaten track and touristy places. What kills your evening is smile lacking staff. I was there twice (having two different servers), it was the same. You are... More

I was satisfied with the food we had at Kupol: from the dumplings as an appetizer, to the veal I had as a main course. My friend had a different veal dish, and also enjoyed it. The ambiance of an antiquated house, in which the restaurant is set, could have worked better if it were not as dimly lit as... More

Ambiance that breath the atmosphere of great past history, especially in the highly interesting collection of pictures, dinner servings plates, lamps and other stuff, all connected to the walls to create quietness and a relaxed feeling of being out of the hectic world of every day's life. Combined with good Polish oriented food and music, it allows a pleasant and... More

Very nice and quaint cafe in the middle of the city but still off the main streets. Excellent service, unbelievable prices for an American - a full lunch with a bottle of wine for two people cost me $20. But the main attraction of the place is the way they decorated the rooms. It's filled with the stuff from 20's... More

The restaurant has interesting decoration and good food, but I found the ambiance a little uncomfortable. The music on the radio was not in character with the restaurant and the waiter appeared moody and uninterested.

Me and my friend visited this restaurant in the beginning of november. The atmosphere of the place has some potential, but one did'nt look around so much since the thought of putting our coats back on occupied our mind. Although in november, the heating was off. The service was kind but strict, the waiter did not smile or try to... More

My friend and I visited Kupol after reading some of the reviews here. The place was completely empty, and we took a seat inside at one of the smaller tables. The waitress who served us, while not rude, seemed bored and quite frankly, showed less personality than a bag of rocks. The interior of the restaurant was just as cold... More

Kupol sits on a hillside ten minutes' leisurely walk from the edge of Lviv's old town. It has a shaded terrace where one can eat, but the real pleasure is indoors, where the walls are carefully and idiosyncratically decorated. Old advertisements, menus, cartoons, complete place settings stuck to trays and hung vertically - it's impossible not to get up and... More

After three days of vareniki and shashlik overload, we decided to try something a little different and opted for this highly recommended Polish restaurant. Kupol did not disappoint and we would definitely go back if we ever visited Lviv again. The location is at the end of a quiet street, slightly up a gentle slope and near a park. This... More
