The Lashio Lay looks good from outside and inside. During lunchtime you find lots of tourists and some locals. During the afternoon, we were alone there. You can choose between lots of differents dishes and often get a soup of the day. My sensitive stomach still feels good after having a late lunch there and also the price is reasonable... More

We went Lashio Lay two times and had great original Shan food for cheap money. Lashio Lay is a place where you still can breath and watch how the restaurants worked during military government times. Not much changes since that times. And that is the special atmosphere of this place! Go for it. Taste it. We loved it. Ps: Go... More

I've tasted quite a few of Shan Cuisine during my stay throughout Myanmar and are fortunate enough to sample and experience a different authenticity of local food. Although the food in Lashio Lay comes close to the authentic Shan flavor but still has... More

Tasty and very cheap food, but we both had to run for the toilet the whole evening. The cooked food is left for display without heating before serving. I would only recommend this place, if you have a very strong stomach.

Super cheap (veg plates come at 1k kyat each and other at 1.5k kyat, basically bottomless plain rice at 500), for a lunch with rice, a chicken plate, a vegetable plate and a drink expect to pay 3k-3.5k kyat (around 2.5 EUR). The place is full of locals but also tourists, people are always smiling, food is great and hygiene... More

This isn't anything flash but it's tasty food canteen style. Good variety and friendly staff. When we were there it was mostly used by locals which is a great thing. Two meals and a large beer to share 5000k
