The apple and tamarind tart could be one of the best things I've ever eaten. The hot food is amazing and the coffee and tea great. Right on the river with beautiful views

Lovely interior, polite and attentive staff and very good coffee (iced or hot). A little expensive, perhaps worth it for the settings, and the wifi wasn't up to much (like most of LP). Would recommend for coffee if you are happy to pay for it, great location on the Mekong and it looks like they do plenty of positive social... More

Hi Jim, Thanks for coming in, trying out the coffee and leaving a kind review. We also appreciate the shoutout for the work that we do! Please feel assured that all the money made by Saffron is reinvested to help Lao people, either through the farming side of things or providing better working conditions for employees etc. We hope you... Hi Amy, I'm glad you could find something that was gluten free AND tasty at Saffron! We are working on getting some more gluten free and dairy free options too but its a bit of a challenge sometimes. Feel free to ask for the falafel or Lao peanut chicken wrap without the wrap itself and they turn into fresh, gluten... More

The coffee is good as mostly mentioned. Besides this I think the place is well overrated which for sure could be related to the fact that I have spent the following night puking the carrot cake... hence one hint from my side: mate, check again the quality of your food.

Good coffee lots of options. Very popular with westerners and away from the high street so not as crowded as Joma with better views.

I spent four days in Luang Prabang and went to Saffron Coffee a number of times. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and the coffee superb. It is definitely a place to go. I ended up buying six bags of coffee and one bag of cassara coffee bean tea to take home.

Was recommend by our guesthouse owner. Really glad we went here. They support local people and Coffee farmers. The Australian owner working there was a throughly nice guy and enjoyed speaking with him. The staff were also very friendly and the top-ups of water were great. The bagel is one of the best I've ever tasted. Strongly recommend.

Hi, Thanks for the review and giving a shout out to the farmers and the bagel! It's great to hear we were recommended and that you enjoyed your time. There are a couple of Aussies working for Saffron, and as proud as we are to be here, the business is Lao owned and not owned by us. We just love... More

We were recommended this place by our guesthouse and it was amazing. A quirky stop off by the river which offered a great menu - the bagel is amazing! We got chatting to the owner who was a really nice guy and very welcoming. The staff are also extremely polite and nice! They also have a restaurant which we didn't... More
