An amazing experience to taste such subtle and unique flavours from a mix of Thai / Lao recipes. The setting and service was faultless, an amazing achievement, in a small mountain town. A visit to Paste Apsara is definitely a must and there is an...More

I went with my husband to dine on New Year’s Eve. We knew it was way more expensive than any of its good neighboring restaurants, and went given the prestige and the special occasion. We were a bit disappointed. The food was very very good...More

The food was excellent - just delicious and a great way to experience the local flavors. We really recommend the tasting menu which gives a variety of dishes to explore.

WOW. Exquisite food preparation with remarkable layers of flavor and texture. The crab yellow curry was the best we have ever had. The presentation was equally impressive. It's white table cloth so you want to do better than flip flops and tee shirts, but the...More

Shared tasting menu. Service was poorly executed & too fast, especially for this style restaurant and price point. Food was truly original, complex and tasty, but we felt there were too many competing flavors in most dishes. A minor detail, but annoying: had to pay...More

OMG. OMG. A sister of the Bangkok-based Michelin starred Paste Bangkok, one would expect the food to impress. It not only did. It was beyond expectations. The explosion of different and unique South East Asian, mainly Laos, flavours got better and better with each course...More

I loved the old Apsara food but this is a different leaque. A brand new twist on royal Laos food it knocks the socks off anything I've had anywhere else. The restaurant has also had a transformation and is elegant in a very paid back...More

We had a wonderful meal here on their gorgeous terrace. The smoked fish starter, soup and slow-cooked buffalo cheeks were particularly good with amazing flavours from very fresh ingredients. Great service and a lovely, calm atmosphere, plus stylish setting. Recommended.

This restaurant has been very consistent over the years. I have always enjoyed my meals here. My favourites are the Luang Prabang plate, the fish cake with caper sauce (delicious), the Penang pork neck curry and the outstanding buffalo cheek with tamarind sauce and cabbage...More
