Joys is a wonderful small restaurant basically Joy's home. It's a very simple looking place with amazing photographs on the walls that her husband, Paul took. We ate a wonderful fish and garlic dish and the pork larb. The food was special, so fresh and probably in the top of our list of all the dishes we tried. The mango... More

The last time we were in Luang Prabang, two years ago, we found Joy's and loved it so much we ate there twice. We were only in LP one night this trip -- and an exhausted night at that, the end of a 32-hour travel day from New York -- but we headed straight to Joy's as soon as we... More

Final day in Luang Prabang, I had lunch in this resto. The location is close to Mekong River and about 10 menit walks from traditional market. I ordered fried fish, stir fry morning glory and fried rice with cashew. The taste was good and the portion was more than enough. Good resto in Luang Prabang. I Like it.

Family restaurant style, small place with limited tables. Nice tomsome fish and shrimp fried pad Thai.

Quaint little place with quite an extensive menu. We ordered the crispy fried fish with garlic and it was the best thing ever. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - it's a must try. The laab was also really refreshing. The stew was interesting but it wasn't a highlight. Overall it felt like an authentic homecooked meal... More

Visited joys twice as the food was great. Large portions and very reasonable. Nice and quiet as well great ambiance. Well worth a visit or 3 to avoid the noise and madness of the main town. We're going to miss our hostess, she was great and chatty.

When in Luang Prabang, you must try the local food at Joy's restaurant. We went there for lunch and ordered beef laap, vegetable olam, sticky rice and pad thai. We didn't know what olam was so we had to try it. It was very tasty mixture of eggplant, green beans, squash, lemon grass and other vegetables with just enough spice... More

A lovely restaurant with a few rooms for rent. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious enough and clean and near the night markets.

Went there on a recommendation and not disappointed - go with Joy's recommendations. The crispy skin fish was to die for. Joy very friendly and helpful. Must do.
