I went to this place with friends, the view of the citadel is super magnificent, and the food is good, as long as you stick to the oriental menu. Notice that this place doesn't serve alcohol which is rare in Aleppo.

A large party of us (20) descended on this restaurant one evening and they coped admirably - even with us splitting the bill up into various bits - so I've got to give them a good review for service on those grounds alone. The restaurant is in a great location with views of the Citadel and is pleasantly decorated. Everyone... More

My experience lets me think that restaurants located in front of the touristic attraction of the city (here the citadelle) are usually expensive, overcrowded, and food is poor. This time I must admit that I was wrong! It could be a little bit overpriced compared to other restaurants in the city, but the location and the splendid view easily compensate... More

Beroea catched our eyes from the citadel and we decided to have dinner there. the ambience was good, especially the terrace of the restaurant has a beautiful citadel view. We were three, one of us go european and order cordon bleu, i chose kebab aubergine and one of us want to try arab oriental kebab. Mine was merely ok but... More

This`s nice restaurant is located in the heart of Aleppo`s old city — near souqs and the citadel. You can go to the second floor and have a good view over huge citadel walls. It offers good service, tasty fresh food and a nice clean interier for reasonable prices. Probably, they have more clients at evening, but as I came here... More

Beroea is just a few minutes' walk from the citadel, Aleppo's main tourist attraction, but offers some peace and quiet away from the crowds. The menu contains a mix of Aleppan specialties with Armenian and Kurdish influences. We went for lunch and enjoyed everything we ordered - sujok (small, deep-fried sausage rolls), Aleppo kebab and Kurdish salad (fresh thyme, cheese,... More

This restaurant is visible from the Citadel but slightly away from the normal route from the souq to the tourist hotels and therefore not full of tour groups. If you follow the Citadel's dry moat in a clockwise direction from the entrance you'll reach it in about 5 miniutes. It's opposite the ex-passport and immigration office building. Excellent, professional service... More

We had the best food of our trip here, including the local kebab with cherries. I personally like meat-with-fruit combinations so enjoyed this very much, but for some people this would just not work. Mezzes and salads were fresh and tasty. We ate quite early so the place was fairly quiet, and service was almost over-attentive, with waiters diving to... More
