Great location. Beautiful fresh seafood. Reasonably priced. However it is completely let down by the organisation, service. Such a shame because it could be perfect

An excellent view of the dancing fountains and the current tallest building in the world. Primarily this is a fish restaurant that has a limited menu but covers all tastes. The environment is typical of old Dubai, service ok but the cost is a little high. Ideal though for taking a break from shopping in the vibrant 'Dubai Mall' and... More

Very good place for sea food. Excellent location especially when you sit outside, weather permitting, overlooking the Dubai Mall world famous fountain. They serve all fresh sea food accompanied by the delicious Lebanese mezzes and salads. No alcohol is served but the Lemonade with mint goes well.

We had "dinner" here tonight. The starters arrived at different times, our main course was literally slapped down in front of us before we had finished the starters. The presentation would have had Gordon Ramsay throwing the staff into the Lake. Food was dry in and tough to eat. We had chicken and specialty fish, which turned out to be... More

Pricy with ok food on a top location. We especially enjoyed the direct view on the lake and it's fountain shows. Just across the lake stands the very impressive Burj Khalifa. The service is correct but could be somewhat friendlier. The food is worth 3 Tripadvisor stars. Do not expect a nice glass of wine, as alcohol is not served.

This was a totally unexpected diamond of a restaurant which served the most amazing grilled fish - Hammour. The fish tasted like chicken and I was amazed at how good all the dishes were. Coming from the mediterrenean and eating a lot of fish, this was at the top of the pile for experiences of fish I have ever had.... More

Super cool athmo at souk al bahar. Had some super fresh Calamaris and some killer Thuna from the BBQ later on. Service attentive, prices decent for Dubai

Way too overpriced. Now that that is out of the way, I can tell you the good stuff: the food is very fresh (you choose your fish from the display area and they cook it the way you like). Menu has lots of variety. Location is magical, particularly if you have the fountain in view (outside during winter only). All... More

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
