Great views, but the same cannot be said about the food or service and the interior was so dark that you could hardly read the menu. The food and service was average, and certainly not worth the huge prices

Just went for a drink and a snack. - absolutely bowled over by the view from the 52nd floor. You get a great perspective of The Palm which is really quite something. Definitely worth a visit

52nd floor so views of Marina and Bay are stunning. Staff are also excellent which is the norm at the Marriott. Food is ok - not special in any way - wine menu is pricey, and stick to bottled beers / draught awful - music when raging is way too loud. It's also bought into the raucous 'brunch' culture so... A combination of steak and sea food keeps most ppl happy. From aged wagyu passing throughirish kettyle to us Angus and dutch veal to australian saltbush, its heaven... More

So glad I found this on trip advisor. Beautiful view of the palm from the observatory. Great to see the sunset over a drink. No need to reserve if just going to the bar but can get busy. Happy hour between 5 and 7 means selected drinks are discounted but they have spin the wheel offers from 3pm to 5pm.... More

We stayed at Le Meridien nearby and on visiting the Marriot it seemed extremely tired and dated in comparison. Intended to eat there on our final night but we instead had a few drinks and left, there just seemed like fair better places to see and eat in Dubai and therefore we didn't want to waste a night there. To... More

I have been a regular at observatory for years. This January I returned to Tuesday night happy hour and then ladies night to find it was very different. No more 25 aed Malbec wine by the glass, no more 50% off bar menu either. And they charged for ladies night. 30 aed for three glasses. I am perplexed as the... More

Great views! You can see the Jumeirah Palm, a glimpse of the world islands, ongoing construction on the Dubai eye and enjoy sky divers on the horizon! Great place for a cool beer whilst watching the sunset!

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
