I went here with a good friend and ate the full course meal. We were happy and all the food serve were satisfying and well presented. Price is a bit pricey but it is justifiable, the ambiance and interior decors were great. The waiters are...More

This was my worst experience in a restaurant. We went to this restaurant for a very special celebration as we had heard it was very nice. As we made the reservation we were asked if we wanted smoking or nonsmoking, we chose nonsmoking and so...More

Really great atmosphere for both drinks (lounge) or food (restaurant). Good for large groups. Food was good but not wow! I would still go again though! Recommended for drinks.

From the first step till your last bite, it's an outstanding experience for all of your senses. Oysters were out of this world! Along with the home made fries in duck fat, it was an amazing dinner! The scenery is unique and leaves you a...More

We came for dinner with a group of friends and everything was excellent. Since the moment you enter you're immediately welcomed inside. The place is divided on two levels and has a circular shape with a very rich decor. The bar area looks very posh...More

One of my favorite places for dinner. Everything was amazing. Better to book before going. Notes: not a place to bring kids to it, loud songs.

Great place! Tried several dishes there and they were all good. I love their fried calamari, probably one of the best in Dubai. The place is beautifully designed, the walls are so creative and well lit which adds to the great atmosphere of the place....More

I posted this question on 31 August 2017 but it's showing with a date of April 2015 - this is really weird!

Qbara Dubai at WAFI is the brainchild of JAS Hospitality - a Dubai-based hospitality development and management studio - dedicated to bringing compelling food, immaculate service and glamorous design to Dubai and the region. Enhanced by vibrant entertainment elements, Qbara will be adding a stylish and exciting new highlight to Dubai's increasingly sophisticated dining scene. The menu features passionately composed dishes inspired by the great Levant, Middle Eastern and Moroccan cuisines with a focus on high-quality, fresh ingredients, the use of indigenous spices, contemporary cooking methods and careful presentation. The culinary vision is to set quintessentially authentic flavors into contemporary, modern context. Qbara's spectacular interiors have been conceived by award-winning Tokyo-based interior design Studio Glitt - Noriyoshi Muramatsu - who skillfully created a magical vernacular of traditional Middle Eastern cultural elements set in juxtaposition with a ultra-contemporary design philosophy. The venue's interiors lavishly spread over two floors with a focal stage bar and a cosy restaurant area forming the ground floor and luxuriously comfortable lounge seating areas on an elevated multi-level balcony above. The architectural centre piece is a two-storey tall vertical installation of carved timber panels that also serve as a projection surface for visual art displays. The ambience is distinctly high-energy, fashionable & sophisticated yet casual and fun. After all it's all in the Name.... 'Qbara' as such can mean 'large & generous' but spelt backwards could almost sound like 'Arabic' representing a departure from the traditional - not authenticity - and thus intrinsically an ancient word with a twist to encapsulate a wholly new and modern concept.
