El Huerto is in an unlikely location outside the main touristy areas of Sucre. It is about two and a half blocks from the old railway station at the end of Parque Bolivar. Walking there, you might even have your doubts over the restaurant, since the immediate vicinity of the restaurant is not too encouraging. Once you enter the restaurant... More

We had lunch and opted for a typical local dish. Very well prepared and lots of Food. It is nice to sit in the garden, very quite place. The buffet with a good variety of salads is a plus. 10 Bolivianos for a Taxi to get there.

Awful management service, not welcoming constructive critiques. They even treat bad their employees. Food was ok but you could find more delicious and cheaper food in Sucre. Will not get back there on our next trip.

This was a birthday celebration, started with delicious pisco sours, a lovely chorizo starter and then very good main dishes. The waiters gave great wine advice, the food was delivered with the correct pauses (sometimes in Bolivia all the dishes arrive at once), the meat tender, the sauces tasty and the garden ambience was lovely. The salad bar was excellent... More

This must be one of the best lunch places for the Sucre locals. It's a short cab ride (or walk) outside the colonial part of town. It's on a small hill, bear that in mind if you walk. Set in a lovely building with a garden. We sat out in the garden. The weekend lunch gives you a buffet style... More

Had lunch at El Huerto on the 19/05, seating under a parasol, surrounded by flowers. Best meal we had in Sucre , delicious Bolivian food, very good service. Full of locals , which is the best sign of approval. Don't miss it

We had dinner at El Huerto last night and really enjoyed the food. As we had eaten a large lunch, we decided to share three starters between the two of us. Frederico recommended some dishes including a local chorizo speciality and a bottle of Bolivian red wine. We ate in the main dining area which has simple decor and interesting... More

We go here on occasion for their Sunday lunch. It's not a quick experience, but it is tasty. We really love the salad bar. Good selection of veggies and they are tasty. You really can't go wrong.
